The trial download is a standalone distribution. The standalone distribution is a fully functional version of ShadoCMS/ZoomFlex and has been optimized to allow you to get started in the shortest possible time. The download comes bundled with an application and database server, a java runtime and the Flex SDK which makes it a large download (170MB) but has the benefit of not requiring any install or configuration for you to start evaluating.
