Challenge
The internet has become an increasingly important medium for professional associations, generating income and facilitating knowledge sharing and membership building. AIM wanted to take full advantage of this trend by creating a new dynamic website with simple navigation where visitors could quickly gain a clear understanding of the breadth of services and resources offered by the organization. These included education and training opportunities, events and seminars, publications and research materials.Given the volume of information on offer AIM needed a Content Management System that could consolidate the disparate parts of the site into one cohesive unit. The end result had to be easy to maintain update and manage in real-time if it was to keep up with the needs of AIM members. Importantly the solution provider also had to have the relevant sector experience.
Solution
Shado CMS Content Management System.Results
AIM now has a dynamic easily navigated website that has revolutionized the organization’s work practices. Because updating the website is easier and faster, published material is now of a consistently high standard. Additionally better control of their site has enabled AIM to focus more strongly on the areas that are of greatest interest to their members and generally be more responsive to members.Using Flash and dynamic HTML, Straker partner Gruden completely changed the look and feel of the AIM site better directing its members through the site. New promotional space on the main page now gives AIM the opportunity to rotate promotions and provide exposure for upcoming events and courses.
The Shado CMS has given AIM the power and flexibility to manage their own website within a framework that will support them through many iterations of the site to come.
