Sydney and Dublin 15th May 2008. Straker Interactive Pty Ltd is opening an office in Tralee, Ireland to better serve its growing list of partners and clients in Europe. The office will coordinate channel development, manage sales and marketing activites and provide technical support and development assistance to partners and their customers.
"The recent appointment of ShadoCMS to run the European Commission - Research website and the growing focus in Europe on the opportunities that exist around Rich Internet has accelerated our plans to break into the European market" explains Grant Straker CEO, "We have been getting considerable interest from companies across Europe both in the Multilanguage capabilities of Shado and the huge value ZoomFlex can bring to companies looking to utilise Flex as a basis for Rich Internet Applications".
The company has moved their International Partner Manager, David Sowerby to Europe to focus on building the network of Partners across continental Europe and the UK. "David has been responsible for rapidly building our Asian business and with his existing network of contacts throughout Europe the timing was right to get the office established" says Straker.
Straker committed to Flex in its very early days and has been building its underlying technology in ShadoCMS and ZoomFlex since 2004 to take advantage of the incredible benefits Rich Internet brings. "We tend to find that companies initially talk with us around the Multilanguage capabilities of ShadoCMS but once we show them what is possible with ZoomFlex and the speed with which RIA can be developed then we engage on a whole new level" explains David, "many of our clients are now starting to migrate a lot of core customer engagement functions into ZoomFlex and are even dabbling with AIR for some of their solutions"
The company is organising a roadshow through Europe for mid June and is actively talking with a number of web development companies and agencies who are interested in offering ShadoCMS and ZoomFlex to their clients.
