Straker Interactive is a certified Adobe training partner and offers the following training courses for ColdFusion.

Fast Track to ColdFusion 

A 3 day course that provides web developers with the knowledge and hands-on practice they need to build and maintain dynamic and interactive web applications using ColdFusion.
Audience To gain the most from the class, you should already have:
- A familiarity with Web terminology
- An understanding of Web server characteristics
- Experience with the HTML tag set and syntax
- Familiarity with the SQL command set, including SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE
 Topics Include:

  • - An introduction to ColdFusion
  • - Publishing database content
  • - Building forms with ColdFusion
  • - Building search interfaces
  • - Building drill-down interfaces
  • - Inserting new data and updating data
  • - Reusing templates
  • - Securing an application

 The Tutor - Senior Shado developer and course presenter Indy Nagpal has conducted Coldfusion training on different versions of ColdFusion since 1999 and is Adobe certified to teach Fast Track and Advanced ColdFusion courses. Indy was formerly a teacher of web programming at Humber College, Toronto and has conducted numerous training events for Straker Interactive. 

Duration: 3 Days - Courses are run throughout the year based on demand and subject to minimun number of attendees.

Advanced ColdFusion Development 

Advanced ColdFusion Development is a 3 day course that provides developers with the knowledge they need to effectively build, maintain, and scale web applications using ColdFusion.

This Course is designed for developers who have a basic understanding of ColdFusion i.e. have worked with ColdFusion for 6mths+.

This course is packed with valuable information.

Audience
To gain the most from this class, you should already have:
- Completed the Fast Track to ColdFusion MX course, or other equivalent experience building ColdFusion applications.
- Experience developing web applications using ColdFusion for at least three months upon completion of the Fast Track to ColdFusion MX course.
- Practical experience using CFML tags, functions, and variables.
- Practical experience with the SQL command set, including SELECT, INSERT, and UPDATE.
 

Topics include:
- Advanced ColdFusion concepts and complex data types
- Working with ColdFusion components, functions and custom tags
- Handling errors
- Exchanging data over the internet
